Curb, gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement begins next week

Next week the contractor will be installing message signs stating the work on Stage 2 will begin on August 6^th.  The road work will begin following the Glenview Park District Triathlon.

 

The roadways included in Stage 2 include:

·        Lehigh Avenue from East Lake Avenue Bridge to Patriot Boulevard

·        Compass Drive from Lehigh Avenue to Patriot Boulevard

 

Stage 2 work includes concrete curb & gutter replacements, sidewalk replacements, milling the existing asphalt surface, paving a new asphalt surface, pavement striping, and other miscellaneous tasks.

 

Work Anticipated to be performed, August 6^th to August 10^th

·        Saw cutting of the curbs in stage 2 on Monday August 6.

·        Curb and Gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement starting Tuesday and continuing through the next week to ten days

 

There will be no full roadway closures, the travel delays are expected as the work is performed.
